This is not a re-skinned Castle Panic!

      Comments about this product:

If you like Star Trek, especially the original series, you are going to want this game. It may slightly resemble Castle Panic - but believe me, this is not a re-skined Castle Panic game. You get to play one of the original 7 main characters from the TV series - each with their own special ability. The threats are always shooting at you, you must complete missions. Until you complete the last mission, the threats just keep coming out to try and destroy the Enterprise and eliminate its crew. The rally fun part is the Enterprise has a maneuver ability, which is crucial to complete certain missions; and to prevent damage to the ship by rotating the ship so a shield is between it and a threat. Watch out for those Tholians!

      Comments about this product:

The game is excellent. Castle Panic lends itself well to this game, however there are some minor things that need better wording in the rule-book. For example, in larger groups, only being able to draw 4 cards can make it rough, especially since there is nothing in the book about being able to discard at will at the end of a turn, which is a common rule in Castle Panic, and one I've adopted. Additionally, the "comet" hazard stopping at the Enterprise doesn't make logical sense, since technically each ship (enemy) are realistically the same size ... so we have modified house rules that it stops at the 1st thing it hits. Additionally, some clarification on Scotty's ability would be nice. If a section is destroyed, even in Star fleet Battles, you could do a partial repair ... it's something to mull over. But don't let my points here discourage you from playing this game. It is quite entertaining and I would recommend for all my friends.
