TCM Greatest Classic Legends: Elizabeth Taylor DVD

SKU ID #344844

This TCM Greatest Classic Films Set includes these four great films:

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof
Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize play thunders across the screen in a powerful film adaptation starring Elizabeth Taylor as frustrated Southern belle wife Maggie the Cat and Paul Newman as her disillusioned ex-athlete husband.

Father Of The Bride
Taylor is the bride and Spencer Tracy is her harried father in this comic celebration of an American rite (and wrongs) of passage. Here comes the bride, there goes dad's wallet . . . and everyone's heart. What sparkling fun!

Butterfield 8
"I'm not like anyone. I'm me!" Taylor won her first Best Actress Academy Award as a call girl whose life comes with a complete set of emotional baggage, courtesy of married lover Laurence Harvey and stalwart friend Eddie Fisher.

The Sandpiper
Rapturous Big Sur is the backdrop as a minister (Richard Burton) is torn between his yearnings for a beautiful free spirit (Taylor) and his love for his wife (Eva Marie Saint). Featuring the Academy Award-winning Best Song "The Shadow Of Your Smile."

          Comments about this product:

I am a lover of the classics because of the class Hollywood actors had those years ago. You can find the quality of actors or acting in the movies presented today. Especially like the fact that they are wholesome and leave things to the imagination as opposed to letting all out there on television when children could very well be watching. Clean, not offensive, class, and a purity about the Classics.
